Driver, Send them out of the bus!!!πŸ™…πŸ½πŸ˜±

I boarded a LAGBUS (the former BRT bus) to Ikorodu from Ojota on a Saturday like this. As we crawled through an unusual Lagos traffic occasioned by a downpour, a panel of discussants took over the atmosphere inside the bus with an argument on whether Naija go better or e no go better and how naija people behave.

It went beyond argument to noise, a loud noise for that matter. Neither party proffered any solution. Those who were optimistic only had and expressed some sort of hope.

Then there came the interesting and unexpected twist. A frustrated and angry passenger (a lady) requested atop her voice (in the midst of the noise) that the driver sends the ‘noise makers’ out of the bus! That hit me like a whirlwind! What courage!!! Majority of the passengers busted into laughter. For where? In public bus? In Lasgidi? How we for do na?πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

That created another fresh discussion/argument. I regretted boarding that bus that day. But for the downpour, I would have tinkered with the idea of getting down. But then, how do I get stories if I don’t stay where the action is?πŸ˜œπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

That passenger was not the only one who felt that way. Those guys constituted nuisance in the bus and I just felt like giving them a piece of my mind. But like a typical public bus, they didn’t mind how they were perceived.

An elderly woman actually had to resort to cussing! They stopped for that while, prolly to respect her. Soon enough, the noise rose again like an orchestra without symphony.

Ok let’s talk, do the driver or conductor have a right to send a passenger from his bus on the basis of him/her constituting public nuisance? After all, they were yet to pay their fare.

Where does my right as a passenger begin and end? Please eppπŸ™†πŸΌ
